Today I find out that because I didn’t put in two weeks for my notice I will not be receiving my PTO. I put in a one week notice because I was afraid they would force me to resign early as well but I finished my week no issues.

In the one year I was there I saw multiple people come and go only to learn later that they had put in their notices beforehand but ended up getting forced resignations so they wouldn’t have to pay out their PTO. I finally had enough of not making enough money and once I hit my one year mark I decided it was time to leave. It slowly turned into making maybe 6 hours a week due to low census. I hated every day I had to go in but would always do what I could. Unprofessional surgeons, nurses, and administrators. This happiness slowly dissipated as I realized how horrible this hospital was. Still I was excited to get my feet in the door. I was not a new grad, but given even lower than new grad pay because I was considered entry level.
